Case Neurosciences Program Activities

The program has activities that go beyond regular course work and laboratory research:

  • Special programs about scientific careers in academia and industry.
  • Invited speakers meet with students for lunch every week as part of the outside speaker program.
  • Students attend faculty/guest speaker dinners.
  • Students present their research at national meetings.
  • Students attend Woods Hole or CSHL summer courses.
  • Faculty/student retreats occur annually.
  • Extracurricular activities include group camping and rafting trips.
  • Outreach activities to Cleveland Public Schools help spread science to school children.
  • Friday afternoon social hour - students and faculty meet to rehash the weeks activities in a casual setting.
