iCycler Real-Time PCR System

iCycler real-time PCR system

The Bio-Rad iCycler iQ PCR detection system allows the user to both monitor and quantify a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) in real time. A broad-spectrum tungsten light source and multiple filters permit a wide range of excitation and emission between 400-700nm, and also the multiplexing of up to four (4) different reporter fluorophors. On-line display allows visual confirmation of the PCR amplification in progress, and a 350,000 pixel CCD detector makes possible the simultaneous detection of up to 96 samples. The iCycler iQ is located in the Zigmond lab, room E734A. Please contact Rebecca Schreiber at x4615 for additional information.
