Inverted Wide-field Microscope
The Inverted Wide-Field Microscope is located on the sixth floor of the Medical School in room E630D. The system integrates a Zeiss Axiovert 405 microscope with software, computers and cameras. The software, Metamorph and Metafluor, is designed to support image acquisition, morphometric analysis, calcium ratio imaging, 3D reconstruction, and time lapse experiments. A recent upgrade including a Bioptechs Delta T4 stage and objective heater has greatly enhanced the live cell imaging and movie-making capabilities of the system. QuickTime and AVI movies created in Metamorph can now be exported into PowerPoint presentations. For additional information and training, please contact Maryanne Pendergast at X2575.
